Hello, everyone! I hope you had a beautiful 4th of July and enjoyed some lovely fireworks, if that’s your sort of thing!
Last week I signed up for Splitcoaststampers’ monthly “Tickle a Teapotter” challenge, in which we’re given the opportunity to surprise a fellow SCS member with a card along the lines of whatever the challenge is that month, something I enjoy signing up for when the timeframe suits me as it’s a thrill to make a card for another cardmaker!
A thrill, and a bit scary, too… I am always a bit worried they’ll notice any oopsies that non-cardmakers would likely be entirely immune too. 😉

This month’s teapotter tickle challenge was a fun one with built-in ingredients – a Tic Tac Toe challenge, where we played from the following board options:
Only problem was, try as I might, I could just NOT come up with creative juices to get going on the prompt I wanted to play – “Bird.”
Thankfully, our wonderful area demonstrator, Mary Hanson, challenged her customers this month to use a watercolor technique on our cards. That challenge was just the ticket I needed to form a plan of action in my mind for this card! Her challenge, combined with the middle-across prompts (Texture-Sentiment-Vine), sent my mind into a whirlwind, and my feet into the craft room to pull out what I needed to bring the idea in my head to life!
I rather like the result this time (a rarity for me when I have the vision in mind before I begin it!), and I hope you do, too!
I hope the recipient does, as well. 😉
I think I’ll also enter this in the SSS Wednesday challenge, “anything goes,” because this goes perfectly with that! :0)
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today – you make my day when you do! 🙂
