I created this card to go along with the gift for a wedding my family attended two weekends ago.  My inspiration came from the invitation we received in the mail, but the resulting card is much less “simple” than the bride and groom’s invite was.  Despite this goof-up on my end, I do really like the way this turned out, especially once we put it on display on top of the gift package!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  As always, if you would kindly leave me a link back to your blog or card gallery, I would love to visit and leave you feedback in return!

Have a blessed day,

Chrissy

8.23.2011 Birthday Wishes

Ok, so this isn’t the crowning glory of my proudest card creations.  But it is, after all, progress in the right direction – of actually making a card again!  Yay for me! :0)

I made this card for my mom’s birthday this week.  I also tried to make cupcakes to match it but was apparently too heavy-handed with the color gels in the frosting, because the cupcakes turned out much less soft and muted than this card!

I’m in the middle right now of crafting a wedding card for a wedding my family will be attending next month, and I am already feeling the creative juices flowing on that one and look forward to being able to share that!  In the meantime, however, at least I have SOMETHING to share! :0)

Blessings to you and yours,

My submission for CAS127 – Photo Inspiration Challenge. 🙂

Yes, it’s been forever since I’ve sat down and made a card just to sit down and make a card, without a specific occasion and recipient in mind.  Life throws us curveballs once in awhile and I’ve been dodging a few of those myself.  The desire to get back into regular cardmaking has been building with a fierce force, however, so last night, even though it was late, I sat down determined to make something – anything.  And here is what I came up with!  My inspiration was number one, seeing that our “stockpile” of already-made “thank you” cards was dwindling, and two, something that would be clean and simple and therefore, quick to make!

THANK YOU so much for stopping by!  As always, if you could take a moment to leave me with your comments, leave a link to your card gallery or blog and I’d love to return the favor!

Blessings,

Chrissy

  •  Ok, so I’m getting around to this a good two days after I had hoped to be able to, but here’s the other card I made over the weekend!  A beloved family member is expecting her first child, and I made this card for her upcoming baby shower.

Again, please excuse the blurry cell-phone picture.  This card actually looks a lot cleaner in person!

If you could take a moment to let me know what you think, I would be ever so grateful.  Leave a link back to your blog or online gallery and I promise, as always, to return the favor!

    Blessings to you and yours,
