  • Accesories: Martha Stewart bow punch, matting tape, red and blue glitter, Stamp-a-ma-jig

This is my submission for Wednesday’s Sketch Challege #204 (SC204) over at SCS. I picked up the gorgeous wreath stamp (by Inkadinkado) at Michael’s yesterday in the clearance Christmas stamps! Yay! When I picked it up, this color combo immediately came to mind, and I was super excited to see that it fit perfectly into this week’s sketch challenge. Sorry that the colors look a little dull in the picture – I couldn’t seem to get the lighting in the dining room to cooperate with me on this card! In real life, the colors are much more vibrant!

Started by using SU markers in Real Red, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and Garden Green, coloring with only one color at a time, and then stamping it. Used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the stamp perfectly. Stamped “‘Tis the Season” sentiment (from Northwoods Rubber Stamps) in Basic Black ink below the wreath image. Added red glitter to red portions of image. Punched bow with Martha Stewart punch in Real Red cardstock and covered with red glitter. Mounted image on panel of Garden Green cardstock. Also mounted Bashful Blue panel on Garden Green and added a stripe of blue glitter on both top and bottom.

Mounted the entire works first on a panel of Certainly Celery cardstock (stamped with “Season’s Greetings” stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps in Certainly Celery ink), and then on a panel of Real Red cardstock (stamped with Crosshatch background stamp with Real Red ink).

Thank you so much for looking and please let me know what you think! 🙂

Blessings,
