As I mentioned last week, he October Fan Club challenge is LIVE for all Fan Club members – and the gallery is continuing to impress me with the variety and talent there!
Do you love fall? Or rather, “autumn (as seems more befitting a name for such a glorious season!)?”
As a youngster, I though fall was (and still is) my favorite season, I struggled with an immense amount of anxiety around both the start of a new school year and the pressure of trying to be perfect in my studies. As most children undoubtedly do, the bullies didn’t help the experience one bit, either. One of the things I longed for during the school day was to get home, hop off the bus, sit my backpack inside, and lose myself in a pile of crisp, earthy leaves in the front yard – preferably with the assistance of our black lab.
Of course, in farm country, wind is a regular thing, and whatever pile may have been raked previously would usually be strewn about, so with the aid of a wooden-handled rake (and blisters to prove it!), or with the sweep of the side of my shoe (reference blisters, above… lol), I’d do my best to reform the pile to as deep as the leaves could get… and, truly, big or small, I saved them all for that pile.
As does this perfectly poised lady, grasping her stunning bouquet!
“We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.
For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.”
—Romans 8:28-29 (AMPC)
I’m halfway through my time on the Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen Team and still loving and appreciating every second of it. I sure hope you’ll pop in and see what the rest of the “Dirties” have been up to this month!
For more information as to why this is just a glimpse and not the full-on “real deal” I usually post, please check out this post where I shared some exciting news!
Blessings,
Chrissy
