Yesterday started off kind of rough. I had grand plans to use my day off to be productive as well as get in a little fun. And the productive part was stressful (researching a purchase we need to make), followed by discovering something not wonderful amidst trying to tackle an “average” task afterward. By lunch, I was stressed, upset, and cranky. But my sweet husband, who was working from home, noticed my state when I came into the kitchen and came to give me a hug.
I tell you – the power of a hug is immense!

Suddenly I again noticed the bright sunshine outside and it was like I could see clearly again! (A little food in my tummy helped too! 🙂 hehe), and my crafty juices were flowing again after a weekend of simply not feeling it whatsoever – and then stressing over the fact that I wasn’t feeling it!
The very first thing I wanted to do was create a paper hug for someone, and I hopped on Split Coast to see what the current challenges were for the day. Clean and Simple #625 challenged us to make a card with something unbelievable – naturally, the first thing I thought of was unicorns, and I began grabbing tools and inks like I crazy woman, not sure what I was making but certain it would include a cute unicorn and be in happy colors.
I also came back and decorated a coordinating envelope with the same stencil I used on the front of the card with a few of the distress inks for a little more cheer.
I hope you enjoy what I came up with! I’m still not sure where this card is headed – I asked the Lord to show me and I have full confidence He will point me to who needs this!

Chirssy, I saw this card on SCS and just had to come peek – absolutely the sweetest! I love the scripture and rainbows and of course your cute unicorn – and the envelope is equally fabulous! Bravo!
